/ NIX Education
A phone-free school day. No pouches.
Students scan the ID badge they already carry. NIX verifies the phone was left behind and logs compliance automatically. No hardware to buy, hand out, or replace, and nothing to unlock at dismissal.
/ How it works
Three steps. Zero hardware.
Set up once
An admin sets school hours and holidays in the web dashboard, then maps the campus boundary from the iOS app, standing on campus. About ten minutes total. No installation, no hardware to distribute.
Scan at the door
Students leave their phones at home or in the car, away from campus. Then staff scan the student ID badge they already carry. A scan takes seconds.
Verified, automatically
NIX checks that the student's phone is actually outside the geofence and logs the day: daily attendance and phone-free compliance in one dashboard, no spreadsheets.

/ Why not pouches?
The problem with per-student hardware
Lockable pouches were the first serious answer to the phone-free school day, and they work for many schools. They also cost real money every year and add friction to every entrance and every dismissal. NIX removes the hardware from the equation.
Nothing to buy per student
Pouches and lockers are per-student hardware: purchased, distributed, damaged, lost, replaced, every year. NIX uses the ID badges your students already carry and the phone's own location. There is no inventory.
No unlock-station lines
Locked pouches have to be unlocked: every student, every dismissal, every early release and field trip. With NIX there is nothing to unlock, because the phone was never collected in the first place.
Real verification, not the honor system
A pouch proves a phone is in a pouch. A bin proves nothing by third period. NIX verifies the phone is actually away from campus and logs it. Evidence your policy is working, every day.
Precise about privacy
NIX verifies a phone's location at the moment of the scan. It does not track students through the day, read messages, or monitor usage. Verification, not surveillance.

/ The console
Compliance you can hand to a board.
Every scan is logged the moment it happens. Daily attendance and phone-free compliance sit in one console, in real time, ready for a board or district report. And because attendance is captured in the same scan, the register fills itself in while the line moves. No spreadsheets to keep, no end-of-day reconciling.
/ State law
Built for the bell-to-bell era
A wave of state laws now requires schools to restrict phones during the school day, many of them bell-to-bell. Almost none of those laws mandate specific hardware. What they require is a policy, and most also expect schools to show it's being followed.
That's exactly what NIX Education produces: a verified, logged record of phone-free school days, without buying a pouch for every student.
/ One platform
Education runs the school day. The same app also rewards students for showing up phone-free at events. Same dashboard, two ways to go phone-free.
