Set up once
An admin sets school hours and holidays in the web dashboard, then maps the campus boundary from the app, standing on campus. About an hour the first time, and almost nothing after that. No installation, no hardware to distribute.
Scan at the door
Students leave their phones at home or in the car, outside the boundary the school draws, usually around its buildings. For students who can't, bus riders for example, the school can mark a phone zone inside it where a stored phone still counts as phone-free. Then staff scan the student ID badge they already carry. A scan takes seconds.
Verified, automatically
NIX checks that the student's phone is actually outside the geofence and logs the day: phone-free compliance and a daily arrival record in one dashboard, nothing to keep by hand.

The problem with per-student hardware
Lockable pouches were the first serious answer to the phone-free school day, and they work for many schools. They also cost real money every year and add friction to every entrance and every dismissal. NIX removes the hardware from the equation.
No hardware to buy per student
Pouches and lockers are per-student hardware: purchased, distributed, damaged, lost, replaced, every year. NIX uses the ID badges your students already carry and the phone's own location. There is no inventory.
No unlock-station lines
Locked pouches have to be unlocked: every student, every dismissal, every early release and field trip. With NIX there is nothing to unlock, because the phone was never collected in the first place.
Real verification, not the honor system

Precise about privacy
During school hours the school-day check asks one thing: whether the phone is inside the campus boundary. NIX keeps that answer and one latest reading that overwrites itself, so there is no location history. It never reads messages or monitors usage.
