Delete your NIX account

Students: delete your account in the app

Open the NIX app, go to Profile, tap Delete account, and confirm. This takes effect immediately.

If you cannot use the app, or you are a school staff member or administrator, email contact@nix.management with the subject line Account deletion request and include your full name, your school, and your student ID or work email. We respond within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in is revoked.
• Your account is disabled, so it can no longer be used.
• Your stored location is deleted.
• The location snapshot attached to any past event check-in is deleted.

What is kept, and why

Your school, not NIX, is the owner of your student records. NIX processes them as a school official under FERPA. So we keep your name, your school-issued student ID, any recovery email you added, and your school's attendance and event participation records, for as long as your school uses NIX and needs them for its own records.

We keep them only to serve your school. We never use them for advertising and we never sell them. To have those school records removed, ask your school, which can direct us to delete them, and we will.

Raw location coordinates attached to an event check-in are automatically deleted 90 days after the check-in, whether or not you delete your account.
